WHO WE ARE

We are a collective of hospitality advocates and community organizers working with mental health professionals to change the way we talk about mental health in the food, beverage and hospitality industries.

OUR COMMUNITY

Support Staff’s work encompasses all hospitality industry professionals within Chicago. Mental health is something that affects everyone - all socioeconomic backgrounds, all ethnicities, ages, gender and sexual orientations. While our work is based in Chicago’s hospitality community, we also offer digital resources that allow us to connect with people and communities regardless of their zipcode!

OUR MISSION

  1. Educate

  2. Build Community

  3. Provide Support

We believe that mental health education is paramount in successfully rebuilding the structure of the hospitality industry.

We use our platform to provide accessible mental health education in both English and Spanish with our Bite Size Podcast

From conversations hosted by our Please Hustle Responsibly Podcast to fitness encouragement groups, we work to create a sense of community and provide participants and listeners with a group of people to draw inspiration from.

SUPPORT

April, 2020 we launched the Comp Tab Relief Fund and Resource Guide to help alleviate the stress of those affected most by the pandemic. In Summer 2021 we opened our headquarters, community center and ‘free store, People/Profit, to provide our local community with free resources.
